NBA Autograph Signings

NBA Autograph SigningsCollecting NBA autographs is an exciting and fun hobby. It doesn’t always have to be complicated and hard. Most people wish to accidentally meet a star and hope that they can convince the player to give them with a signed autograph rather than falling in line during scheduled signing. But still, it can be hard for fans to always carry something like a photo or a basketball card around. It is also hard if the item being signed should be kept and stored in a good condition at all times like rare basketball cards and basketballs.

The easiest way to get your most desired autograph is to simply keep one’s attention on the player and the team as to when the scheduled autograph signings will take place. Most teams do this when a new season opens or they’re in the playoffs; they will be doing this for publicity to raise the interest and awareness about upcoming games. Events like this will include a question and answer portion with the press and the audience and, most of the time, a chance to line up and have an autograph signing. The basketball stars together with their team will often sit at a table, giving fans a fair chance to meet them, talk with them and have something special signed.

Often times, these events are jam packed and players will only have a certain amount of time to meet the fans and sign autographs. Anyone who didn’t get the chance to have get an autograph is out of luck. So, when you’re going to this kind of event, one should always make sure that you arrive to the event early to be sure that you are one of the first few people to get a good place in the line. This might mean that you then have to wait around, killing time in the queue by reading a book or playing games of Partypoker on your laptop, but at least you have a better chance of getting that all-important autograph in the end. One way to find out if your favorite basketball star is appearing for a public autograph signing is to subscribe to his fan club or personal mailing list. Usually, they will send out notifications as to when and where the autograph signing will be.

Remember to bring the necessary materials for the autograph signing like a pen and one or two memorabilia items. Make sure that you bring the right pen and marker because some of them won’t work well on glossy surfaces like basketball cards. Above all, ask you favorite NBA player to sign your items politely and respectfully. Most of them are accommodating and friendly but if you act obnoxiously they might not accommodate your autograph request.

NBA Autographs

The National Basketball Association, or NBA, is a professional basketball league specifically for men. It is composed of 30 teams, 29 of which are from the United States and 1 from Canada. Avid NBA fans have their favorite team and players and an autographed photo or even just a piece of paper from these NBA stars will surely amuse any fan. There are several ways that you could go about getting NBA autographs; you just have to be sure to do it in the right and acceptable manner.

There are lots of possible memorabilia, but it is best to focus on the quality of piece you are asking them to sign. Is it better for display or would it be easier for you if ever you decide to sell and part with that collection as time goes by. Stars would usually appreciate your care while they are taking the time to sign the items for you. Here are some tricks that will help you collect autographs from your favorite stars easily!

Don’t bring bags; always take as little with you as possible so that it would be easier for you to move around as you have less to carry. It will allow you to go to places faster like being first in line and get near the player. Bringing only the photo or a basketball card you want them to sign with the right pen is the quickest and easiest way toward getting a piece of memorabilia you desire most. It is important to identify which surface or part of the item you want to be signed. Some pens or markers won’t work well on glossy or rough surface, for some it will just slick and will smear easily.

Being in the stadium early is also an important factor. It would be a great time to watch them practice and at the same time get some autographs. By positioning yourself near the locker room, it would be easier for you to toss you basketball to your favorite player or give the basketball card and ask them to sign. This is an easy way to get their signature and watch something exciting while they are practicing.

Finally, one of the most important things a fan should always remember is to be respectful and polite when asking for an autograph. No star would want to go near you and give you one if you are screaming out loud to get their attention. Your attitude towards them is a great factor that will help them decide whether to ignore you or not. You should know everyone by name and by face from the team. It would be rude to ask someone to sign an autograph when you do not know who they are.
